Mortensen's only appearance in the Victory Internationals was against Ireland in Belfast, 'Morty' scoring England's only goal in a 1-0 win. The England v Argentina match in May 1951 ended in a 2-1 win for the English, Mortensen scoring both his side's goals. The England v The Rest of Europe match in October 1953 ended in a 4-4 draw, Mortensen scoring a single goal. The cufflinks included in this lot were apparently presented to Mortensen by The Football Association
