AN ANATOLIAN BLACK SERPENTINE STELLAR PLAQUE, rectangular, surmounted by a high suspension loop, one side engraved with a figure of a striding stylized deity or demon with bird-like head, arms outstretched, wearing a decorated calf-length robe with 'belt' and six drilled circles, two diagonal lines emerging from the shoulders to link up a series of drilled circles, three stars in the field, the reverse incised with a four-line magical text, early 1st millennium B.C.
