A ROMAN MARBLE HEAD OF APHRODITE, gazing to her right, with lips slightly parted, the face polished in contrast to the deeply drilled loose locks of her hair which is piled on top in a double 'knot' and swept back at the sides in a chignon at the nape of her neck, tip of nose restored and eyes possibly reworked, on a later onyx draped bust, mounted, late 2nd Century A.D.
