The case with rectangular hood and a concave frieze, above an arched door flanked by pierced foliate sound frets, the trunk door inlaid with scrolling lines, the side decorated conformingly, above a stepped plinth and raised on bracket feet, the 35cm. arched brass dial with shields, C-scrolls and vases to the spandrels, with brass Roman and Arabic dial and foliate engraved centre, alarm ring and subsidiary seconds ring, the arch with eagle spandrel flanked by various instruments, the four pillar striking movement with anchor escapement and strike on two bells, with two Austrian transport labels and stencilled 98GE, restorations
