A Vienna topographical pen tray, ink-well and sander
1836-1837, marked with impressed Bindenschild and dateletters 836 and 837, the tray incised with K and W, the pot and sander with F
Heavily gilt and painted in colours, the rectangular tray with canted angles, painted, dated and signed by Schufried 1837, depicting an extensive panoramical view of Vienna from the Belvedere palace, inscribed in French, the square sander with three views, one with the Sankt Michaelsplatz, one with the Josefsplatz, and one with the Church of Maria Am Hof, the reverse with starred diaperwork, the concave top pierced with holes, inscribed in French, the ink-well en suite with three views, one with the Graben, one with the Hofplatz, and one with the Neuen Markt, inscribed in French, the flat cover with a bun finial (the tray restored, the ink-well with repaired angles and chipped cover)
