A German walnut, burr-walnut and parquetry cupboard
19th Century
The canted arched moulded cornice above a plain frieze and a pair of doors inlaid with parquetry panels, flanked and divided by spreading pilasters inlaid with simulated rectangular panels and headed by foliate carved pilasters, enclosing a paper-lined interior with a central upright flanked by three shelves to one side and an open compartment to the other side, the sides inlaid with cut-cornered panels, on scroll feet, with remains of a paper label to the quarter-veneered reverse, inscribed Angekommen 17.1.V./1126, losses and replacements
