In the Directoire style, the rectangular grey-veined white marble top with a three-quarter pierced gallery, above three panelled frieze drawers flanked and divided by fluted pilasters, above a panelled roll-top enclosing a fitted interior with three drawers and two open compartments, above a slide with a gilt-tooled olive leather-lined writing-surface, above a panelled frieze drawer and on turned tapering fluted legs terminating in brass toupie feet, some of the brass linings loose, some missing
