An Austrian ormolu-mounted walnut, figured walnut and parcel-gilt 'Aufsatz commode'
Early 20th Century
The superstructure with an arched moulded cornice surmounted by a pierced foliate clasp issuing C-scrolls, rockwork and flower-heads, above a pair of glazed panelled doors with foliate rim, enclosing a green-painted interior with five shelves, above two drawers, on short cabriole legs, the base with an eared rectangular moulded top above a frieze drawer and a pair of panelled doors inlaid with angular strapwork, enclosing a paper-lined interior with one shelf, on short cabriole legs, the reverse with two transport labels, one glass pane missing
