Each rectangular plate with an arch of foliage and flowers with standing birds, the lower part of the picture with a pheasant and another bird standing on a rock by a lake, the other with a pigeon and a dove standing by a lake with buildings beyond, in a later pierced giltwood frame

A mirror painting of this distinctive type, with sparing decoration beneath a floral arch, was sold by Major General Sir George Burns, D.S.O., M.C., North Mymms Park, Hatfield, Christie's house sale, 24-25 September 1979, lot 64. It depicted the Three Graces and the floral arch was repeated in an George III floral giltwood frame
