Lot Essay

This collector's cabinet on stand, of unusually small size, is fitted with shallow drawers which were intended for a coin collection. Interestingly, the doors themselves were also designed to house a collection possibly of naturalia, such as shells or corals, as the reverse reveals smaller hinged doors enclosing an arrangment of shelves.
