An ormolu watch-stand
Probably French, late 19th/early 20th Century
Cast as a dolphin with an upscrolling tail and a hook for suspending a pocketwatch, on mahogany plinth base - 18cm. high; And a brass watch-stand the rockwork bezel surmounted by a cockerel, on a double C-scroll flanked by an elegant couple, on an associated ebonised tripartite stand, and a pocketwatch - 35cm. high (3)
