Inlaid overall with scrolling foliage and interlaced cut-cornered panels, the serpentine rectangular top with three hinged flaps, the central flap centred by a musical trophee and with a mirror to the reverse, the two side flaps inlaid with scrolling foliage and opening up to a lidded compartment (one removable), above a slide with a red leather-lined writing-surface and a drawer and a kneehole, flanked by a simulated drawer and a drawer to one side and two graduated drawers to the other side, on cabriole legs, stamped F.BAYER and JME, with various paper labels inscribed Jacob Stodel/Rokin 70/Amsterdam, feet tipped, losses to the veneers, restorations
