Each with rectangular top above a shallow frieze inlaid with overlaid diamond shapes in fruitwood, above two pleated green silk-backed and brass trellis-filled doors enclosing one shelf and flanked by feather-banded simulated panels, the crossbanded roll-top enclosing six satinwood-fronted drawers and three pigeon-holes above an adjustable green leather-lined writing-surface and three variously-sized simulated drawers, the lower section with two short drawers above two tambour shutters flanked by feather-banded simulated panels, on turned tapering baluster legs inlaid with simulated fluting, on brass castors, one with label to the reverse inscribed CAVENDISH HOUSE CO. LIMITED CHELTENHAM and stamped COLONEL.. DUFFIELD JULY 24.09
