A Japanese bronze vase with carp
Late 19th Century
of tapering form and everted lobed neck, decorated in relief in shibuichi with seven carp, gilt eyes, sealmark to base -- 17¼in. (43.8cm.) high; and a similar bronze koro decorated with two carp in relief, gilt eyes, on four splayed feet, the interior with liner, signature to base -- 9½in. (24.1cm.) wide, (minor wear).
