A Japanese inlaid bronze iron vase
19th Century
decorated in hirazogan and takazogan in bronze, copper and gilt with an eagle grasping a hare in its claws, standing with partially outspread wings on a pine branch, beneath a band of stylised cloud motifs -- 12in. (30.5cm.) high, (surface wear).
