A large Japanese cloisonne tapering vase
19th century
decorated with numerous birds in flight and in a garden amongst chrysanthemum sprays tied to bamboo canes, the neck and foot with foliate panels reserved with geometric designs on floral grounds -- 24in. (61cms) high, (replacement metal plaque to base); and a further cloisonne vase of tapering form with cylindrical neck, decorated with simulated tied rop on a turquoise ground reserved with geometric designs -- 19in. (48.2cms) high.
