The white enamelled circular dial with Arabaic chapter ring and pierced strapwork ormolu hands within a bead-and-reel glazed bezel, the mirrored oval plate above also with a bead-and-reel surround surmounted by the reclining figure of Mars and flanked by satyrs supporters, the breakfronted case with dentile-molded cornice hung with berried laurel garlands, set with grotesque and rams masks and with caryatid supporters above an open oculus and step-molded conforming plinth base set with figures of Gods and Goddesses, upon bun feet, inscribed in pencil my...elba 1781, with the paper label inscribed in black ink F.S./H.M.V./88:2, the dial and movement probably later
