A Bronze Figure of a Sakya Lama Ngorchen Kunga Zangpo (1382-1456)
Tibet, 15th Century
Seated in dhyanasana with his right hand in vitarka mudra and his left hand holding a book, wearing finely detailed patchwork robes with incised cloud scroll and foliate scroll borders at front and reverse and a headdress with overhanging lappets, his face with eyes inlaid in silver in a studious gaze, base sealed bearing an inscription of his name at front and on book 'Lokesamvar Vihara (?)'
