A Charles II ebonised and brass mounted bracket clock with pierced brass caddy top hood and scrolled carrying handle, the moulded cornice surmounted by four turned flambeau finials and fitted with a brass mounted glazed door, enclosing a brass dial with silvered chapter ring and subsidiary date aperture, inscribed Jo. Buckingham, London, the angles with later gilt bronze winged cherub spandrels, on a moulded plinth ending in brass bun feet, the striking movement with a carillon of six bells, the backplate engraved with foliate scrolls and centred by a portrait medallion surmounted by a basket of fruit, 19in (48cm) high overall, the case, 7¼in (28.5cm) high, 10¼in (26cm) wide, 6¾ (17cm) deep
