Further details
Sir Patrick Murray Threipland (1800-d.s.p.1882) was the fifth and last Baronet. In August 1783, his grandfather, the de jure 3rd Baronet, Sir Stewart, had been able to buy back the greater part of his ancestral property. It fell to Sir Patrick to complete the process with the re-purchase of Kinnaird in 1853. Upon his death, the baronetcy became extinct and his property was inherited by his cousin, Colonel William Scott-Kerr (1866-1942), who took the name Murray Threipland.
