Two documents signed, the first as King of Scotland, Holyrood House, 3 March 1581 allowing John Pitcairne and his wife to eat meat during lent, countersigned by Gowrie and Tulliberdin, one page small folio, slightly soiled and torn, with 19th Century transcription; the second as King of England and Scotland to the Provost of Perth, Palace of WHitehall, 30 March 1616, recommending John Guthrie as clergyman for the city in place of the Bishop of Galloway, one page small folio, with defective address leaf (soiled and torn) (3)
