This service was probably made for a Blair of Inchyra, descended from Andrew Blair of Inchyra, second son of Sir Thomas Blair of Balthayock, knighted by King Charles I. Cadet branches of Blair of Balthayock are of Balmyle, Pittendreick, Glasclune, and the Blairs who settled in France.
