Frodsham, Clock Maker To The King, 115, New Bond Street, 2184 striking on a coiled gong, the arched brass dial with sand-ground centre, engraved silvered chapter ring inscribed Chas. Frodsham, Clock Maker To The King, 115, New Bond St., W., No. 2184, flanked by pierced floral-cast winged cherub spandrels, the arch with slow/fast and strike/silent subsidiary dials, in ormolu-mounted walnut case, the downswept pediment surmounted by an urn finial, four similar finials to the angles, above a glazed door flanked by ram's head and harebell chain mounts, the arched side panels cast with urns trailing ribbon-ties and harebell chains, the rectangular base with floral cast border on acanthus cast scroll feet, 17ins (43cms) high
