The present pictures are close in style to a picture offered in these Rooms, 10 July 1987, lot 67, and to a signed pair of pictures also sold in these Rooms, 18 June 1937, lot 62. Similar works by the artist are also in the National Gallery, London and the Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge.
