A rare Irish sanctuary lamp of baluster form, the shaped lower border chased with a band of interlocking triangles, the body pierced and engraved with Celtic-style interlace and with similar decoration to the upper borders, the rim set with cabochon pink pastes, the scroll supports formed as zoomorphic heads with six suspension chains and a coronet-type surmount, with glass shade, by William Egan, Cork, with Dublin marks for 1934, and Glasgow import hallmarks, gross weight 228oz., height of lamp 17in., complete with rise and fall fitting and extra glass shade.
