A George III fluted oval teapot with straight tapering spout, domed cover with baluster finial and ebony scroll handle, chased and embossed at a later date with bands of flowerheads and foliage, maker's mark apparently lacking, Edinburgh, 1789, (17oz.), 6½in. high.
