A Victorian two-handled vase-shaped prize cup in the neo-classical manner on spreading circular foot chased with 'bat-wing' fluting and berried laurel borders, further decorated with ribbon-tied laurel garlands, an oval panel chased with putti and a band of fruiting vines, the domed cover with further laurel decoration, acanthus foliage and bud finial, with leaf-capped scroll handles and gilt interior, erased and engraved at a later date, by J.W. Dixon, 1875, (94oz.), 17½in. high.

The later inscription reads "The Aldershot Open Military Cup, Won by Col. W.S. Anthonies 'Rampant', March 9th 1928, Trained by Owen Anthony, Riden by Capt. E. O'Kelly".
