A Georgian longcase clock, the movement striking on single bell with brass face, the silvered chapter ring enclosing a silvered roundel engraved with scrolling foliage, with date, lunar calendar and moonphase apertures, inscribed John Day, Wakefield, the later arch with central silvered metal plaque inscribed Tempus Fugit, in oak, mahogany and chequer-line inlaid case, the indented dentilled cornice above a glazed door flanked by fluted pilasters, the arched trunk door inlaid with central oval shell medallion, a similar inlaid medallion above, the plinth base with central fan medallion on arched bracket feet, 84½ins (215cms) high
