Colonel James Hunter of Auchterarder (1796-1874) was the elder son of Captain Patrick Hunter of the Bengal Infantry and the Hon. Jean Rollo, he died unmarried. William Hugh Hunter of Auchterarder (1801-1851) was a banker in Perth. He was the fourth son of Captain Patrick Hunter of the Bengal Infantry and the Hon. Jean Rollo and married Elizabeth Veitch, daughter of Colonel Henry Veitch of Eliock, Dumfries-shire
