This painting is a copy of Shoeing by Sir Edwin Landseer which was one of seven paintings bequethed by Jacob Bell to the National Gallery, London in 1859, and subsequently transferred to the Tate Gallery in 1912.

This work is being sold on behalf of Multiple Sclerosis (Fife Branch) to raise funds for the completion of the restoration to a large Victorian Villa, which will be used by M.S. patients for vacational purposes.
