A pair of Derby figures of John Milton and William Shakespeare after the models by Scheemakers modelled standing and leaning on pillars and holding scrolls, their clothes edged in gilding on a rectangular canted base, incised No.297 and No.305, Robt. Bloor & Co., with canted corners (some minor cracks and chipping, gilding rubbed) 10in. (25.5cm.) high, circa 1820
