The above jersey was worn by Donald John Dearson in one of the three full International's played by him in season 1938-39.
Donald Dearson was born on 13th May 1914 and played football for Llantwit Major Juniors and Barry Town before joining Birmingham in April 1934. He made 105 League appearance for the club scoring sixteen goals before being transferred to Northampton Town in 1939. He returned to Birmingham City after the war in season 1946 and played 25 League games for them scoring one goal. Subsequently he played for Coventry City; Walsall March; Nuneaton Burgh and Bilston United before retiring in 1953. Dearson died in Birmingham on 24th December 1990.
