A Continental ebonised, white metal and brass-mounted casket, the rectangular hinged lid inscribed Marie Louise, enclosing a plain interior, the frieze with floral-cast hasp formed as a hand, the sides with rectangular brass panels on laid with a coat-of- arms, the back with oval panel enclosed by a serpentine, inscribed L.B., above a further rectangular panel inscribed 2ten October, 1834, on acanthus cast paw feet, 19½in. (49.5cm) wide
