A Scottish George III pine and gesso fire surround, the indented rectangular top above a panelled frieze, centred by a figure of a displayed eagle, supported by acanthus scrolls and alligators resting on rockwork, and flanked on either side by a panel of ribbon-tied foliate swags, the jambs applied with intertwined fruiting vine, headed by ram's head masks and surmounted by ribbon-tied wheatsheafs, restorations, 68½in.
