A George III mahogany longcase clock, the hood with broken arched pediment surmounted by three turned finials, the frieze with gilt-embellished arched glass panels, above an arched glazed door flanked by fluted turned tapering columns, enclosing a brass dial with subsidiary seconds dial, the chapter-ring with Roman and Arabic numerals and pierced floral-cast cherub spandrels to the angles, surmounted by an arch inscribed Thurstan Lassel, Toxteth Park and enclosing a painted moon-phase dial, the case fitted with a shaped rosewood crossbanded and boxwood-line inlaid trunk door flanked by fluted demi-columns, the box base with rounded rectangular rosewood crossbanded panel to frieze flanked by canted angles, on moulded plinth ending in bracket feet, restorations, 94¾ins (240.5cm) high
