Shaped-oval and with shell and gadroon borders and shell handles, engraved three times with crest and Duke's corornet, marked on reverse - 23¾in. (60.5cm.) long

The crest and coronet is for Chatles, 10th Duke of Richmond, (1791-1860), who succeed his father in 1819. He married Caroline, daughter of Henry, 2st Marquess of Anglesey, in 1817
