the case on foliate feet with glazed sides, the front door applied with foliate brass mounts, break-arch moulded caddy top, the foliate engraved gilt dial with applied convex white enamel Roman and Arabic chapter disc signed Leopold Biswanger Prag within the concentric calendar ring, pierced blued steel hands and arrow-head calendar hand, subsdiary enamel discs in the arch inscribed sch: nicht/schlagt and reputirt/nicht rep:, the central disc painted with a basket of flowers above the mock pendulum aperture with garnet-set pendant, the four pillar movement with chain fusee for the going with verge escapement and short bob pendulum, twin resting barrels for the sonnerie strike on two bells on the plain backplate
