A Scottish snuff mull of straight-sided oval form, the three- quarter opening cover with integral hinge engraved with sprays of foliage and a coat-of-arms, struck with maker's mark only, probably for J. MacKay of Edinburgh, circa 1800, 3in. (7.6cm) high.
