A Victorian massive punch bowl, in the mid 18th Century manner, on domed circular base with rim foot, chased with a band of shells and matted foliage, the lower body with foliage strapwork mounts with moulded girdle, the upper border with four oval cartouche with diaper work and foliage between, engraved with a crest and presentation inscription, gilt interior, by F.B. Thomas, 1889, 16¼in. (41.3cm) diameter, (160oz).

The inscription reads 'Presented to Lt. Col. John Macknight, V.D., by the Surma Valley Light Horse, 1930' and engraved with the regimental motto and crown.
