A late Victorian kingwood and floral marquetry bureau de dame of Louis XV style, with arched mirrored and shelved superstructure fitted with two short drawers, inlaid with panels of burr-walnut, enclosing sycamore oak leaves, the rectangular top with gilt-metal border, above a shaped frieze drawer, on slender cabriole supports headed by female portrait and pierced foliate-cast clasps, stretching to acanthus-cast sabots, 28½ins (72cms) wide
