A late George III mahogany, crossbanded and boxwood lined longcase clock, the later broken pediment above a moulded frieze fitted with an arched glazed door, enclosing an engraved brass dial with unusual indirect wind and inscribed to the reverse Robt. Somervell (sic), Glasgow, the case fitted with a rectangular crossbanded door flanked by canted angles, the similarly inlaid base on bracket feet, 86ins (218.5cms) high
