A late George III mahogany, line and parquetry inlaid longcase clock, the movement striking on a single bell, with painted dial, indistinctly inscribed R.Fletcher, Kirkby Moorside, with later mechanical rocking ship to the arch, enclosed by a glazed door flanked by turned fluted columns and surmounted by a broken swan-neck pediment, the shaped rectangular trunk door inlaid with an oval marquetry medallion, emblematic of Britannia and flanked by fluted demi-columns, on box base ending in later bracket feet, 90¼ins (229cms) high
