TERRY CURRAN Terry Curran was born on 20th March 1955 and he joined his first professional club Doncaster Rovers in 1973. He played 72 games for them before joining Nottingham Forest in season 1975-76. At the City Ground he played a total of 38 times for them scoring two goals. There followed spells with Bury (on loan); Derby County and then in 1978 he joined Southampton where he played 33 times scoring one goal and appeared in The Football League Cup final. Towards the end of season 1978-79 he joined Sheffield Wednesday where he was able to command a regular first-team place, and in the following three seasons he turned-out for The Owls on 132 occasions, scoring three goals. He joined City rivals Sheffield United in 1982 playing for them 35 times before joining Everton where he picked-up a Championship medal in season 1984-85. Thereafter there were periods with Huddersfield Town, Hull City, Sunderland, Grimsby Town and Chesterfield before retiring from playing in 1988.
