Lot Essay

Third Lanark won their first-ever Division 2 Championship this season with 61 points, Dundee United being runners-up on 50 points. Third Lanark were one of the original eight clubs who formed the Scottish Football Association in 1873 and were one of the fourteen clubs invited to start The Scottish League in 1890. Third Lanark's history is well documented and their demise in 1967 was a great loss to Scottish football.
