This seal is in the form of a lotus flower and would have been attached to a cord and probably worn at the waist. A pale green jade seal ring inscribed in a very similar fashion with the name of another officer of the Emperor Aurangzeb and dated 1080, regnal year 12 is in the al-Sabah Collection, Kuwait (Keane, Manuel and Kaoukji, Salam: Treasury of the World, exhibition catalogue, London 2001, no. 9.12).
