LABORE, surmounted by pierced trefoils and a turned finial, flanked by pierced foliate finials on cluster columns, above six tapering branches with trefoil and fleur-de-lys finial, one panel cracked, one foliate finial lacking

The new house was built in 1860-64 for John Platt, Esq., to the designs of C. and J. Shaw (see: T. Lloyd, The Lost Houses of Wales, London, 1986, p. 19)
The arms are those of Platt of London and Middlesex
