A 25-BORE FLINTLOCK SPORTING RIFLE with rebrowned twist octagonal sighted barrel rifled with seven grooves (rear sight missing), engraved breech with platinum line and plug, foliate engraved bolted lock with rainproof pan, roller and pierced cock (action slightly defective), figured walnut half-stock inlaid with an engraved white-metal pointer behind the trigger-guard tang, cheek-piece, chequered grip, foliate engraved iron mounts including scrolled trigger-guard, vacant escutcheon, white-metal fore-end cap, and brass-tipped ramrod, unsigned, Birmingham proof marks; and a 16-bore d.b. flintlock shotgun, reconverted from percussion, with rebrowned twist sighted barrels, breeches each with two gold lines and platinum touch-hole, signed engraved bevelled locks (signature illegible) each with rainproof pan and roller, figured walnut half-stock with cheek-piece and chequered grip, engraved steel mounts (rear ramrod-pipe replaced), vacant silver escutcheon, and later ramrod (some wear and pitting overall), Birmingham proof marks, both early 19th Century
