A RARE MINIATURE PERCUSSION BOX-LOCK POCKET PISTOL with blued fluted turn-off barrel, bright scroll engraved action (slightly damaged and defective) signed on the top-strap, folding trigger, vacant silver escutcheon, rounded chequered walnut butt heightened with silver pellets and inlaid on each side with foliage en suite, and much original finish: in original lined and fitted mahogany case for a pair of pistols (one missing) with some accessories including copper powder-flask and case-hardened combined bullet-mould and barrel-key, the lid with trade label and vacant circular brass escutcheon, signed D. Egg, Pall Mall, London proof marks, circa 1850
