Proof A complete sheet of twelve in black, on stout roughish white wove paper, variously cancelled by "GRINDLY CO" and "3860" in black, and oval "NATIONAL BANK OF IRELAND" in red, treated with a series of chemicals in attempts to remove the cancellations. Also included is a piece of white wove paper showing two strikes of the oval cancellation in black apparently treated with chemicals, presumably in an attempt to degrade the ink. S.G. Spec.
