Botanical illustrations from Pomona Britannica; or, 'A Collection of the Most Esteemed Fruits at Present cultivated in this country...Selected prinicipally from the Royal Gardens at Hampton Court.', 1804-12, issued by the artist George Brookshaw (d. 1823). Brookshaw issued a second edition in 1817, and a less lavish edition entitled 'The Horticultural Repository', appeared between 1820 and 1823 (L. Wood, 'George Brookshaw - The case of the vanishing cabinet-maker: Part 1.', Apollo, May 1991, pp. 301-306).
